The service

Nilad is a Mac app that reads, files and finds your documents on your device. It is distributed through the Mac App Store under Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA), which governs your use of the app alongside these terms.

Plans and billing

• Monthly and annual subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Renewal is charged to your Apple account within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Use Settings → License → Manage Subscriptions in Nilad to cancel through Apple; you keep access until the period you paid for ends.
• The Lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase for unlimited document intake without a recurring subscription.
• Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency and may change for future periods; you'll always see the price before it applies to you.
• The first 25 documents are free, with no time limit.

What lapsing means

If a subscription ends or the free tier is used up, only new document intake pauses. Reading, searching and exporting your existing library are never locked. This is a design promise, not just a policy.

Refunds

Request refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple determines eligibility under its terms and applicable consumer law. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

Your documents

They're yours. Nilad claims no rights over anything you file, never transmits it, and always lets you export everything. See the privacy policy for the full story.

Sensible limits

Nilad reads documents with on-device machine learning, which is very good and not perfect. Extraction can be wrong — that's why low-confidence reads wait for your review and every field is editable. Don't rely on Nilad as the sole record for legal, tax or medical decisions; the original document is always one click away, and it is the authority.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
